I am going on vacation from December 11 to January 9 so I will not be able to respond to any e-mails or address any problems with the site until I get back. However, most of the news reporters will still be active and posting the latest Alanis news. If you have any news to submit go here and one of the reporters will review your submission. If you have any problems with the site that need my immediate attention you can e-mail me at support.
It seems that the Hands Clean video will address the inspiration of the song and the popularity of it. In one scene Alanis is at a sushi bar and her love interest from ten years ago walks and she is really shocked by this, then Alanis has a flashback to the time when they were together. This is how the meaning of the song is addressed. In another, Alanis is at a photo shoot. One of the fans that was chosen through Alanis’ website provided this information so the rest of the info we have is pretty much just the scenes involving her. The popularity of the song will probably have a lot to do with the video because numerous scenes were shot involving fans listening to and singing along with it. In one scene Pat, our source, is singing along with the song on her bed, in another her and some friends are singing it at a karaoke place, and finally the group of friends are at a concert were Alanis is performing the song. Throughout these scenes the kids are doing crazy, silly stuff that people usually do. The video sounds like it’s going to be awesome and I can’t wait to see the final product! You can take a look at Pat’s pictures, which include Alanis and other people form the video, here.
Popular director, Francis Lawrence, directed Alanis' new video for the upcoming single "Hands Clean." He also directed Britney Spears' "I’m a Slave 4 U," Shakira's "Whenever, Wherever," and Aerosmith's "Jaded." The video will be debuted on TRL sometime in January.
Alanis’ new band has made several appearances in the past couple weeks. Thy filmed Alanis' new video and have performed a several shows. The new band members are Jason Paul Orme on guitar, Eric Adam Avery (from Jane's Addiction) on bass, Blair Sinta on drums, Zac Rae on keyboards, and David Isaac Levita on guitar. David Levita is also in another band, AnneTennA. They are really amazing! Anne Preven and Scott Cutler are also in the band, and formerly of Ednaswap, who originally wrote and recorded Torn, which Natalie Imbruglia covered and made a hit. Make sure check out the AnneTennA website, as you can download their entire album! Ultraviolet, Halo, Extraordinary, and From all Sides are my favorite songs!
MSN Music is having a contest that allows you and a friend to attend an inimtate performance! They will fly the two of you to Hollywood California to attend the show at the legendary Whisy A Go-Go in Hollywood. You will also attend a special Meet and Greet with Alanis! Enter here!

I was browsing through Dana's Alanis site and in her Sneak Peak section I found a link to a remix of the clip of Precious Illusions that was released via video on her official site. Anyway, it's really amazing, so check it out. The remix is done by Khris, Alanis fan who has remixes of Thank You and Hand In My Pocket. Check out his site here.

There is a small little message up at http://www.underrugswept.com that says "coming soon!" The site will be designed and maintained by Slender Fungus, the same people that run http://www.alanis.com
GAP has put all the commercials for their 'Give a Little Bit' campaign online. You can view Alanis' at their website. In the commercial Alanis' is wearing an off-white GAP Supersoft Turtleneck Sweater and her own pair of pants. The part of the song she sings is, "Now's a time that we need to share, so find yourself..." I'll put some screenshots online when I get back home.
